Climax records are among the most rare of the early Pioneer recordings. They were made without any patent protections when started. They were produced by a ghost company under the umbrella of the Bert Company of New Jersey. That company was called the Globe Record Company. They worked with the Columbia Phonograph Company to make these disc records. Eventually Bert and Globe would be absorbed into the Columbia Company in Connecticut. I will be listing over the next few months several of these recordings. These are unique, rare, and come always with a great story. Most of which I have not shared yet.
This record plays in what I would call very good condition. In the intro it skips a groove and says Goodbye Grey March. The record plays well all the way through.
Climax records were produced in only 1901 and 1902. The climax record was discontinued in 1902 and replaced by the Columbia label.
This rare record is in very good condition. Any recording over 120 years of age that plays decently is a treasure to find.
This record will be carefully packed and put in a new box.
