Description
Red Garland At The Prelude is a First Press Mono record on the Prestige label (Prestige 7170) released in 1959. This LP has a Deep Groove on the label, an RVG incised in the dead space, and is a Promo release, as indicated by the Not For Sale stamp on the Side A label.
This record has has been cleaned and play-graded. The record surfaces are rated as VG, with slight to tolerable surface noise but no sticks or loud clicks. This LP sounds great and has real presence, as to be expected on a Rudy Van Gelder recording. This record is not warped.
The record cover is in VG+ condition, with no writing or other marks on the front cover. The back cover is also clean and unmarked, EXCEPT for the the name of a former owner scrawled in the upper right corner. There is virtually no ring wear (see photos). The corners are sharp, and spine and seams are intact. The labels are clean and unmarked but with moderate spindle wear.
