Description
The Red Garland Trio with Paul Chambers & Art Taylor “A Garland of Red” 1956 first pressing DG Prestige Records NYC label (# PRLP 7064 mono) in a laminate cardboard sleeve. This is a Abbey Manufacturing/Rudy Van Gelder (RVG) pressing. The record grading is Excellent (EX). It plays very well with robust fidelity and all of the instruments coming through cleanly. There is some faint background crackle on softer parts. Visually, there are some hairline surface marks and a few smudges, yet the vinyl is clean & glossy. On Side 1, there is a hairline scratch across tracks 2-4 (shown in photos). I play tested all areas of it and it is only superficial and DNAP. The following is on the runout grooves:
-
Side A): (etched) PRLP-7064-A RVG (stamped) B AB
-
Side B): (etched) PRLP-7064-B RVG (stamped) A AB
-
The outer case is Very Good (VG). The front cover laminate is clean, glossy and smooth with mild age wear. The back cover is smooth & clean and has mild age wear and a few faint stains. The spine has ~4” abrasion at the top and a ding at the bottom corner. The top seam is EX with no splits and a tiny ding at the opening. The bottom seam has ~4” split at the opening, the remainder of it is fine. The cover is sturdy. (all reflected in the photos). All sales final.
Shipping via USPS Priority Mail. This item will also be insured for the full sale value at my cost.
NOTE: This album will ship with the inner sleeve & record OUTSIDE of the cover as to prevent any possible seam damage to the cover during shipment.
