Description
Here's a thick Edison 78 by Red & Miff's Stompers on Edison label # 51878.This record was recorded on November 10th 1926.The session included Red Nichol's, Miff Mole, Jimmy Dorsey,Alfie Evans,Arthur Schutt,Joe Tarto, and Vic Berton.Songs titled Black Bottom Stomp on one side with Hurricane on the other side.The Black Bottom Stomp matrix number is 11292-B-1-5.Matrix number on Hurricane side is 11291-A-1-5.I'm unable to play test this as I don't have an Edison player so if for any reason buyer is not 100% satisfied I have a return for refund on the record.Nice looking record.The Hurricane side of record looks to have 4 very light scratches and 3 light scratches.Also has 2 scratches which are slightly over a half inch long that are feelable with fingernail.Looks to have some light scuffing which won't affect play.Very small flake on this side only near very edge.Its very small at about 1/4th of an inch long.Not a deep flake Please see picture.Looks to have alot of shine on grooves.Black Bottom Stomp side has 2 light scratches.Also has six scratches that are feelable with fingernail.Five of the feelable scratches are about 1/4th of an inch long with one of the scratches being 1 inch long.The one inch long scratch kinda follows the grooves somewhat instead of it being directly across grooves.So it probably touches ten or so grooves only.A very small part of this scratch which is about 1/8th of an inch long feels a little deeper than the rest.So I'm not sure how or if this will affect play.This scratch probably touches 3 or 4 grooves only.Side looks to have some scuffing which I don't believe will affect play.Grooves have alot of shine.Since I'm not able to play test record buyer can return record for refund if they are not 100% satisfied.
