Description
Here we have five (5) Red Raven records, Magic Mirror, AND a fold-up retail countertop display stand for the whole shebang. All of it is in excellent condition. The records look to be unplayed, and are in their original white sleeves (one record has no sleeve). The white stuff on the records in the photos is just paper dust. The blackish smudge on the green record is in the vinyl - appears to be intentional or perhaps a manufacturing defect, I dunno. The display is also the original shipping box, and has the original mailing label from 1968 on it!
How it works: The record sits on the record player, whereupon you put the Magic Mirror on the spindle. There's a cartoon around the edge of the label that is reflected in the Magic Mirror, which produces a little motion picture! Pretty cool, eh? It's a type of motion picture called a "Praxinoscope".
Records are as follows:
Orange: "Syncopated Clock" b/w "Circus Days"
Opaque Red: "The Little Red Engine" b/w "Tootles The Tug"
Green: "Old Macdonald Had A Farm" b/w "Little White Duck"
Transparent Red: "On The Merry-Go-Round" b/w "Parade of the Wooden Soldiers"
Green #2: "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town" b/w "Suzy Snowflake"
The Magic Mirror is in pretty good shape - the reflective surfaces are clean and appear undamaged, but there are a few scrapes in the paint on the top and bottom, probably from being a box for 40 years.
The box/display is in good shape as well, with no unusual wear or damage.
