Here for auction is a superb 1977 copy of Bullwackies’ reggae compilation, featuring such stars as Wayne Jarrett, John Clarke and the inimitable Wackies lead guitarist Jerry Hitler, whose own second 45 ‘What’s Wrong With You?’ is included herein.
The record was purchased in the late ‘80s in Manhattan, New York, by singer/author Julian Cope, who immediately placed the beautiful silver cover in a heavy clear polythene outer, ensuring that it still remains in ‘like new’ condition. Truly, this record cover looks as crisp and clean as the day it left the manufacturer. Both sides of this LP have just been played through, and the disc also sounds superb, each track being clean and bright: a joy to listen to.
