The sting of Marley still fresh off my bedroom walls, pictures danced to his hypnotic voice, it's still there, those old feelings he brought back to the surface of creation.......
I was offerfed an old ladies photo album to sell, via a friend, not any old album, but
her long decased son's music photo album, near all dated from 1975 to 1979, showing his trips to jamaica and africa, with the people he encounted along the way, and when you see who he seemed to know and photograph you like me will probably wonder how how how he managed to get close to these superstars of the reggae world, to say these are rare images is a huge understatement, they were mainkly taken on a basic hand camera, no state of the asrt snaps, but baack then, this was normal, so please browse through some, and understand i'm not showing all of all because people will just copy them, but they are rare, despite being from a modest fans camera.
Here close up are, bob marley, rita marley (his wife), winston rodney (burning spear) dillinger cb 200 and his son, dennis brown, jimmy cliff at his house on lady mosgrave road, marley is at his home in hope road, toots on tour in africa, third world, bob marleys gardener (ras johnstone), a great shot i've half covered of marley eating rice at hope road in his garden, plus other faces i don't recognise.
