Up for consideration is a 1979 reissue vinyl, LP, album Specialty Pressing copy of Highway to Hell by AC/DC, Atlantic Records, Catalog# SD 19244. The LP jacket is in VG+ condition. Most of the copies I see are pretty worn, but this one isn't. I found this one along with 32 other vinyl records in a box that belonged to my brother-in-law who passed away in May this year from throat cancer. I assume this album and the others were stored in the box for many years. The jacket has a few, small creases, some corner wear, slight edge wear. The original brown Atlantic Records inner paper sleeve is in VG+ condition with some wrinkles and a small split at the bottom center. The vinyl LP is in beautiful condition! High shine & gloss with no scuffs, or scratches on Side One or Side Two. The inner labels are clean and complete with a few spindle marks.
This is the last AC/DC album to feature lead vocalist Bon Scott who passed away early the following year on February 19, 1980 at age 33. Highway to Hell is the sixth studio album by AC/DC released on July 27, 1979. Three singles were released: "Highway to Hell", "Girls Got Rhythm" and "Touch Too Much". "Highway to Hell" -- the title song and lyrics reflect the arduous nature of touring constantly and life on the road. The album went to #17 on the US Billboard 200 chart and #8 on the UK Albums (OCC) chart. The album was certified 7x Platinum in the United States for selling 7 million copies.
