A truly remarkable early 1960`s Beatles Scrapbook of 220 pages with possible original Beatles signatures.
The scrapbook was compiled by a true Beatles fan between about 1962 to 1965 .The fan was a young girl who was truly devoted to the group and especially Ringo !
The book contains over 220 pages of approximately 518 photos ,memories and newspaper cuttings. It is a superb item charting the early days at the Cavern to 1965 . The book contains some signatures of the Group which I have no way of confirming their authenticity . However this fan followed the Group at every opportunity including travelling to Ringo`s home obtaining a plant/grass from his garden which was pressed ( see photo and the actual plant ).One page describes the fan`s journey to Ringo`s Surrey home and a picture of his then house. A page at the front says that Paul `touched this book ` and another page says that he looked at every photo ! There are also on later pages four signatures which seem to have been made on one sheet ,cut out and stuck in the book .They appear original but I cannot confirm this. It is highly likely this fan did actually meet the Beatles ,examination of this record of the years 1962-65 demonstates her determination and devotion.
The shot of the Beatles at the front of the book is an actual photograph and someone has written `Great to have you with us `.There are four signatures of the Beatles in ink. These are in ink but whether they are original Icannot say for certain .
John Lennon`s signature ink is slightely smudged .Bidders should make their own mind up ,however it is very possible a fan of such determination and devotion would have succeeded in meeting the fab four at some point . There are also a couple of small cards with what seems to be ink signatures again I am not certain .
The album is fun and a delight to read .
I have included a number of photos which give a flavour of the contents . I cannot portray effectively just how good this item is ,it has to be looked at first hand . This item is being sold without reserve and with a low starting price in relation to it`s content.
