"Ren-Vell Records Presents Battle of the Bands Vol. 1"
Ren-Vell LP 317, mono
Original Battle of the Bands LP from Westchester & the northern Bronx, featuring the legendary "High on a Cloud" by the Traits - often comped but never released on a single.
Also has another good garage original, "Say" by the Henchmen, plus assorted cover songs.
The Gyrations "I'm Not Your Stepping Stone" is one of the best versions ever.
Condition:
Vinyl: VG- plenty of light scratches, a few that are deep. "Didn't Want to Have to Do It" by the Hangmen and "Hungry" by the Raunch are fairly noisy with clicks, but the best songs - the Traits, the Henchmen, the Gyrations play well with no skips, loud clicks or worn-out grooves.
Cover: G+ top seam split for 3.5", bottom seam split 2/3rds of its length, with old tape in the center. Name written on front cover. General ring wear and soiling.
