Retro Rock Radio Show   "Hendrix/Winter"

This is a US vinyl pressing by the Clayton Webster Corporation from 1982.     It's a radio show of live Jimi Hendrix and live Johnny Winter music.    The label says Broadcast Week 9-27-82.     It does not come in a cover and there are no cues.      Some of the Hendrix music came out 10 years later, in 2002 on the "Blue Wild Angel" CD, issued by Experience Hendrix.  

Some of the Jimi Hendrix music is possibly unique.    The announcer starts by saying this is Jimi Hendrix live in 1970, recorded during one of his last public performances.     The show ends with "one month after this recording, Hendrix was dead".  

Side A           There are five live Hendrix songs in this order :   

1.   "All Along The Watchtower"  4:13     It is the version from "Blue Wild Angel"  except it's shorter and there is much more echo on the vocals.

Here there are commercials for Budweiser, Jenson Speakers, and Lee Jeans.

2.   "Foxey Lady"  7:44     It is the version from "Blue Wild Angel" with the Japanese radio broadcast in the middle of the song, except this is somehow shorter.

3.   "Lover Man"  2:45    It is the version from "Blue Wild Angel", except it's shorter.

4.   "Fire"  3:10    This is a possibly unique version with very little vocals.   It's not on "Blue Wild Angel".   And it's not the version on Reprise 22306 "The Jimi Hendrix Concerts".

5.    "Purple Haze"   3:10     This is a possibly unique version.     It's not the version on "Blue Wild Angel".    And it's not the version on Reprise 6481 "Soundtrack Recording For The Film Jimi Hendrix". 

Side B      Johnny Winter live.     It starts with Rick Derringer talking about Johnny Winter.  

1.   "Boney Maronie"    This is not the version from Blue Sky LP 33944 "Captured Live".

Overall Condition is : Record is VG+

The vinyl looks near mint and it plays VG+, with light background static.   There are no scuffs, pops, or scratches at all.    These are very good quality recordings, but you have to play them louder than other records.      So, when you turn it up loud, you here the light background static.     The labels are perfect with no spindle marks.  The stickers on the Side A label is howthis came from the company.     The record comes in a plain white sleeve. 

I have been buying and selling records for more than 25 years.  I sell records at all Northwest record conventions and at Crossroads Music in Portland, Oregon.

I will package this record between two pieces of hand cut cardboard.    One sheet is 3/4 inch thick triple strength industrial cardboard.   The other sheet is 1/4 inch double strength cardboad.   Together they are very strong and unbendable.   ( Even the postmen comment on how strong this cardboard is ! )  It will weigh 14 ounces when ready to ship.   US bidders can figure out your own postage costs for US priority or Media Mail.    All US winners will get shipping through Paypal with a tracking number.      Overseas buyers must use First Class Mail International.   I will let you know the date I mailed your record and the US customs number.   ( Buyers from Italy must assume all risks for shipping to their country. )       I will send it as soon as you pay ( same day if before 2 PM and next day if after 2 PM.)   I will combine shipping if you win more than one record.   There are no handling charges.    This record is from a no smoking and no pets home.
