Description
This is a special package that includes a 6 cassette lesson with a detailed tab book "THE GUITAR OF REV. GARY DAVIS TAUGHT by STEFAN GROSSMAN", along with 2 video cassettes - LEGEND of COUNTRY BLUES Volume 1 and Volume 2 on Vestapol #13003 and 13016 issued in 1994. This package contains a 60 page book that is the companion for the 6 cassette lessons - Each lesson is on an individual cassette. All 6 cassettes have never been opened or played- they are still sealed !! The list of the 12 songs taught can be found in the fifth picture.
The 2 videos include performances by Rev. Gary Davis, Mance Lipscomb, Mississippi John Hurt, Henry Townsend, Son House, Big Bill Broonzy, Robert Pete Williams, Brownie McGhee, Bukka White, Sam Chatman, Big Joe Williams, Houston Stackhouse, and Leadbelly ...quite a list!!! See pictures for details of performances. The videos are used - the cassettes are new!
These tapes feature rare footage and while I can't attest to the video and sound quality of 19 year old video cassettes, the physical condition of the box and the tape are excellent.
The time has come to sell all the the gems I have acquired and kept in pristine condition over the years.
