Description
Here is the extremely rare first mono Parlophone pressing of 'Revolver' by the Beatles made in August 5,1966. It is the FIRST PRESSING. It has the small "mono" on front of cover. It has the first day "remix 11" of "Tomorrow Never Knows" on side 2 matrix XEX 606-1. The "11 remix" was replaced by a different mix after the first day of pressing. Has the PMC 7009 Parlophone yellow and black labels. Has "Dr. Robert" on side two which was later changed to "Doctor Robert". The matrix numbers are SIDE 1: XEX 605-2 and SIDE 2: XEX 606-1. It has the expected front laminated tri-flipback mono cover and the original white "Patents Applied for" and "Made In Great Britain" inner sleeve. Although I'm no expert, both cover and inner sleeve are near mint with normal age yellowing of the white inner sleeve--see photos. Again although I'm no expert, I would grade the condition of the record is also near mint--again see photos.
It is considered by many to be the greatest album of the Beatles. If you have a Beatles or Rock and Roll record collection, this would be one of the cornerstones of the collection. Watch for my other Beatles listings. Satisfaction is guaranteed!!
