Description
Rhythm Power-Neil Amsterdam (Capitol Production Music 197?). Rare original copy of this library session from Capitol's Hi-Q series which features twelve one-minute tracks. The killer Rhythm Power #11 is one long open funky drum break while the dope Rhythm Power #2 is a sick slice of mid-tempo funk with drums, bass, and wah-wah guitar. The rest of the cuts have a sparse, atmospheric percussion sound that would be right at home behind an early 70's cop show foot chase or surveillance scene.
Condition: Vinyl is VG, plays strong VG+. The generic cover is VG+ and has the name Eileen written on both sides. The Hi-Q series were issued without sleeves, so this cover was probably mated to the record somewhere down the line.
