Description

Tommy Gott, Leo McConville (tp); Miff Mole, Ephraim Hannaford (tb); Arthur Campbell (tu); Arnold Brilhart, Owen A. Bartlett (cl,as); Harold Sturr (cl,ts); Arthur Schutt (p); Domenic Romeo (bj,g); Joe Venuti, Joe Raymond (vln); Vic Berton (d); Roger Wolfe Kahn (dir).  Recorded in New York on December 15, 1925.   Roger Wolfe Kahn's Orchestra plays Donald Lindley's moderistic "Rhythm of the Day" on this one-sided polystyrene test of Victor matrix BVE 34147-3.  Unissued on 78 and LP, possibly because of a little audible distress in the trumpet section.  Joe Venuti takes a fine solo, and Arthur Schutt plays an outstanding one.  This record is in E+ condition and sounds great.  It is pressed slightly off center, but not enough to detract from enjoyment of the music.
Shipped by USPS Media Mail.
I'm a longtime collector who is downsizing.  I know how to pack records.
