We pack items very carefully (check feedback) and do not accept returns due to shipping damages.  If you'd like postal insurance, let us know before finalizing payment, and we'll add it to your invoice.  Insurance is not available for USPS First Class International, but is available for USPS Priority Mail International (for most countries).

We use brand-new shipping boxes and packing materials for added shipping protection for records.  There is a $2 handling fee for domestic shipping, to cover the cost of packaging.

MULTIPLE-LISTINGS BUYERS:  Our boxes fit a maximum of five records or two box sets (or similar combination), so we will invoice you once you reach that limit on our "Awaiting Payment" list, even if you still have bids out.

INTERNATIONAL BUYERS:  Please be aware we ship by USPS First Class International only, unless your order exceeds four pounds in weight, in which case we have no other option that to ship by USPS Priority Mail International.

Both sides are Italian tenor RICCARDO STRACCIARI singing with piano accompaniment, recorded in Milan, April 20 and 22, 1906.

As with most Fonotipias, the labels bear the artist's signature.

After appearing in various Italian opera houses, Stracciari made his debut at Italy's leading operatic venue, La Scala, Milan, in 1904.  His career quickly became international, with debuts at the Royal Opera House in London in 1905, followed by his first appearance at the New York Metropolitan Opera on December 1, 1906, as Germont in La Traviata, with Marcella Sembrich and Enrico Caruso.  He appeared at the Met for two seasons, before touring world-wide.  Stracciari sang in an era that was rich in outstanding operatic voices. But despite the high quality of the competition which he faced from rival singers, he is still widely considered to have been one of the finest Italian baritones of the 20th century, owing to the beauty of his voice during its peak period, his imposing interpretive style and his first-rate vocal technique. America's foremost soprano of the post World War I-era, Rosa Ponselle, was an enthusiastic admirer of Stracciari's singing.

The record has some scuffs and scratches/ Surface noise is below average, and I heard a few quick ticks. 12" collector's sleeve has been crudely modified so the record won't slide around too much. 

NOTE:  I DONT GRADE LABELS -- see pictures for that information.  I use the eBay record grading system when listing LP'Ss, which is mostly based on visual observation of the vinyl.  It's only distracting surface noise, as well as ticks, pops, clicks or jumps, that may affect grading.

SHIPPING DETAILS:  If there is shipping involved, all shipping will originate from MD 21762.  Any shipping that will be USPS FIRST CLASS, PARCEL, PRORITY, OR MEDIA.   I don't charge a handling fee (yet).  ALASKA, HAWAII, U.S. PROTECTORATES, OR FORIEGN DESTINATIONS ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR FREE SHIPPING (if offered).  I cannot ship on Sundays and U.S. national holidays.  Disregard shipping details if item is for pick-up only. 

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING;  please do not ask me to circumnavigate custom and duty laws.  I will work with you to find the least expensive shipping costs.  See INVOICING above.  RUSSIAN FEDERATION BUYERS:  Currently there is a minimum 60-day backlog at customs at the Moscow International Airport, mainly for Russian buyers using foreign websites.   To help avoid rejection, shipping name must be First Name + Parent Surname + Surname.  UKRAINE BUYERS:  USPS has suspended service to Ukraine postal codes 95000 - 99999.  PEOPLES REPUBLIC OF CHINA BUYERS:  I personally have experienced at least a two week delay with some buyers receiving items.

PAYMENTS ARE MADE THROUGH EBAY OR PAYPAL.   I will not ship until payment is confirmed.  Local pick-ups must PAYPAL first. 

RETURNS:  Please understand that IF YOU ARE BIDDING ON A VINTAGE MERCHANDISE the product is NOT NEW.  Every effort will be made to deliver your product in promised condition.  Despite my best effort to pack carefully, things can happen is shipping, and I will not replace the product or offer a  refund for shipping damage.  I certify that all products leave us me as described and illustrated in the eBay posting.  PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE BUYING AND THE TERMS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SALE.  Shipping fees are not refundable, and buyer will pay return fees.
