Rich, Young and Pretty 1951 MGM Test Pressing; Danielle Darrieux Outtake HEAR!

RARE vintage 12" motion picture soundtrack disc / 80 RPM test pressing

Audio elements from the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer musical, "Rich, Young and Pretty" (1951), motion picture production # 1522, starring Vic Damone, Jane Powell, and Danielle Darrieux

MGM # 27974 / 27977. Dated January 31, 1951

Three tracks:

1) "The Frog" (scene #2422). Incidental bebop jazz that served as background when Powell and Damone enter Harry's Little America

2) "How D'Ya Like Your Eggs in the Morning" / listed as "Lain Eggs" (scene #2423) sung by The Four Freshmen, Vic Damone, and Jane Powell. The final version of this recording was considerably beefed up later with (overdubbed?) instrumentation

3) "Close to Me" (scene #2419) sung by Danielle Darrieux. This song appears to have been cut from the film!

Double-sided vinyl disc is visually graded NM- and NM with full gloss; foxing on one label, small pencil on the other

This might have once belonged to producer Joe Pasternack. It is part of a group of similar discs with various sleeves marked, "Mr. Pasternack" in pencil

PLEASE NOTE that I do not sell dubs of any kind, under any circumstances. This clip is provided for demonstration purposes only. Sound transfers are the responsibility of the high bidder

All of my discs have been carefully cleaned with a Nitty Gritty 2.5Fi-XP Record Cleaning Machine. Mono sound files are flat / no EQ, no noise reduction or other masking. What you hear is exactly what you get! You won't be disappointed!

My photos always depict the actual item(s) you are buying!

infinite.bizdom COMBINES LOTS TO SAVE YOU $

Shipping within the USA is $4.00 for your first LP. Combined shipping is an additional $1.00 per album

International Bidders: records are mailed either USPS 1st Class or Priority based on its value for insurance purposes. Either way, shipping is at cost plus a one-dollar handling fee (a PITTANCE!)

I offer a full 14-day money back guarantee on all items (excluding "as is" listings). Don't like it? Return it.

PLEASE NOTE: partial refunds will not be issued. This way you are either 100% satisfied, or keep 100% of your purchase price. Simple and fair!

I take buyer feedback very seriously! Contact me BEFORE posting feedback if you have any concerns regarding your purchase. I've been buying and selling records for longer than I care to admit, and know what it's like being a victim of the Wishful Thinking Grading System, also known as the Fool's Goldmine Scale. Don't be surprised if you receive something "better than described"

Still, record grading is largely subjective; so in the unlikely event you're not satisfied with your disc, let me know. Please allow up to 48 hours for a response: my weekends are spent searching for more cool stuff!

Check the feedback: I've been selling on eBay for over ten years! In addition to infinite.bizdom, I am employed full-time to help run another (considerably larger) eBay operation that specializes in jewelry, pocket watches, and wristwatches. Bottom line: buy with confidence. I know what I'm doing, and am in it for the "long haul"

I appreciate your business!
