Description
Artist: Ricky Nelson, others Title: Teen Time Label/Number: Verve MGV-2083 (M) Jacket condition: G+ Record condition: VG+ Notes: This is one of those LP's that I sell occasionally under the description "rough but rare". The cover is in pretty nice condition with some light ring wear and minor some seam and corner wear. Both the top seam and bottom seams are split and neatly taped for about 9 inches from the opening. The labels are in nice condition with a few light spindle marks. The vinyl, however, looks pretty rough with lots of scuffs and scratches that warrant grading it down to somewhere around G+. There were no skips on my turntable. The music does predominate but the playback is fairly noisy with some surface crackle pretty much throughout as well as a fair number ticks and pops. Grading: Grading is usually only visual for VG+ or better items, although if time allows I may play to verify the quality of a pressing or just to hear the music. VG items are usually only listed if they are fairly hard-to-find items and are always play graded. Regardless of the grade, if I do play the LP, I note the results in the item description. I use Goldmine standards with Ebay's EX grade added for items NOT QUITE up to NM; but please read the notes above as I try to note anything that might influence the grading one way or another. I try to be conservative and grade as though I were buying the record and hope my feedback speaks well for my grading. Mono (M) or Stereo (S) is noted after catalog number. Don't hesitate to e-mail questions. Mailing and costs: Domestic shipping is via USPS, media mail with delivery confirmation. I ship in cardboard mailers made specifically for records with additional cardboard pads for added protection. Shipping and handling charges are a flat $4.00 for the first LP and $1.00 per additional LP. Overseas shipping on purchases under $100.00 may be sent by USPS First Class Mail International but I will upgrade at the buyer's request. Orders for more than $100.00 will need to be by Priority Mail International. This provides added protection for both the buyer and for me. The price will be the actual shipping costs plus $1.50 for the mailer and pads noted above. I know that customs charges are problematic but, sorry to say, I cannot lower the value on the customs form below the purchase price.
I always mail in a poly sleeve with the record outside the jacket. If there's an original inner sleeve I also remove the record from that and put it in a plain sleeve for mailing. That way, there are no seam splits on either the jacket or the sleeve due to any handling in the mail. I'm always happy to combine shipping costs for multiple purchases.
