READ THIS! These records are NOT sold for perfect sound quality. They’re sold for their scarcity and VISUAL grading. They’ve been in storage for a decade, and they WILL play with surface noise that can be addressed with D4 or a VPI cleaning.  I can’t test-play at the minute. Beatles-Rel. LP Ringo Starr 1970 Beaucoups of Blues Unseen “Mfd. By Apple” Both Sides!

For those who have been following my auctions of the obscure pressings of Ringo’s Beaucoups of Blues singles, this is the only one left in my collection, which is the LP.  This is also the earliest example that I’ve ever seen of an Apple LP title with “Mfd. By Apple Records, Inc.” on both sides.

Vinyl--- VG+/VG+.  Both sides have light marks only.  Side 1 has two light scuffs that are long, but not feelable.

Plates--- Z8/Z8.  Hand-etched Delta symbol (or rifle) in the dead wax on both sides makes this copy pressed in Winchester.  How appropriate for a country rock album.

Cover--- VG+.  Although the album was pressed in Winchester, the album cover has a promo hole.  Promo holes are usually associated with the Los Angeles plant, and on rare occasion, the Jacksonville plant were shipped a few for use.

That could mean that this cover was switched sometime in the past, or that Winchester was shipped a few of these covers, I don’t know which.  I’ve certainly never seen another Winchester title with a promo cover.  But then again, I’ve never seen another copy of this title with “Mfd. By Apple” on both sides.

Gatefold--- VG.  Light ringwear.

Labels--- NM/NM.  The LP delivers where it counts, which is the rare labels!

Apple Inner Sleeve--- VG+. Generic white inner sleeve with die-cut hole for the labels to show is present.  Sleeve has yellowed moderately, but there are NO SPLIT SEAMS.

A generic inner sleeve will be provided, so as not to damage your original Capitol inner sleeve en route.

RIAA: N/A

I very seriously doubt you’re going to find another one of these.  I never have, and I’ve been at this for 50 years.

As these records have been in storage for many years, they will play back with crackling and tics, however; a good moisturizing and cleaning with either D4 Discwasher or a VPI machine always clears them up.  Thanks!)

(Please note:  Regarding play-testing, my Technics turntable has somehow seized.  The tone arm is stuck in the up position, and I can’t get it to fully return to its cradle.  Is there anyone out there, who can tell me if this is an easy fix?  Thanks!)
