Description
Up for sale is a lot of two 45 RPM vinyl records (or singles, better put) pertaining to two members of the Beatles; Ringo Starr and George Harrison.
Ringo Starr's single is Photograph on one side and Down And Out on the other. This single is a Stereo album with a catalog number of R5992 and bears a patent date of 1973 on it. There is a string of numbers beneath the catalog number in parentheses which read (7YCE 21732) on the Photograph side and (7YCE 21733) on the Down And Out side. Both sides have been personalized by the previous owner with the name "Roger" and/or R. Bishop written somewhere around the center inlay on either side. This single bears a matrix number on the innermost groove that reads: 7YCE 21732- (some letter crossed out which makes it look like a bullet followed by) 3U. There's also a couple of letters located elsewhere on the groove which seems to read MO. The other side of the single has a matrix number that reads 7YCE 21733-1U along with what appears to be the letters CA written elsewhere on the groove. The sleeve itself is also personalized by the previous owner and has the words Ringo Starr Photograph written on the interior.

The other record in this lot is a picture sleeve 45" by George Harrison with My Sweet Lord on one side and What Is Life on the other. The record has a patent date of 1970 on the inlay and a catalog number of R 5884 on it, with the designation of (7YCE.21511) on the My Sweet Lord side and (7YCE.21512) on the What Is Life side. The Matrix numbers stamped on the innermost grooves of this single on the My Sweet Lord side are 7YCE 21511-1U with the letters GLA located elsewhere, while the What Is Life side contains the Matrix number of 7YCE 21512-1U with the letters KT located almost at the opposite end of this innermost groove. This record was also personalized by the previous owner (Roger once again... why did you do this?!?) And he even went to the extent of stamping his name on the picture sleeve and did it in such a professional way that it almost looks like a factory original! What's odd is that the words (From: George Hanson) ? are written on the cover. Perhaps they were trying to fake an autograph copy? Who knows? This Roger person also went to the extent of stamping his info. on the inner part of the picture sleeve. Crazy, huh? WHO DOES THIS?!?
Anyways, neither one of these discs has been played since I don't have a working record player on me right now, nor did I when I first bought these albums a few years back. Any wear and tear on these was strictly done courtesy of the previous owner and I'm selling them all in as-is condition, with no clearly expressed notions that these records will stay play properly without a hitch or any kind of guarantee; warrant or otherwise that they will all function properly. These are simply collector's items that are meant to be displayed and not actually used in my opinion... but to each his own. Perhaps some Beatlemaniac out there can spare a home for this little lot? My loss if your gain, after all, as they say in the trade...!
