Riot Squad SA ?– Total Onslaught – FHE 1981 7" with the original zeroxed cover, 8 page A5 fanzine and press cuttings – South African Punk! VG
This 7" E.P. has been in my collection since obtaining it in 1981 when I got it sent from the south african punk band for the fanzine I wrote at the time. The actual vinyl is in VG – near mint condition and comes in the original zeroxed folded over cut down A4 paper cover which they sent to me with the single before the standard poster sleeve as per the normal release was printed. There's a small bit of wear and a little bit of yellowing but it's been kept in a plastic sleeve since obtaining it so it's in great condition.
I know there were 300 copies of the 7" originally pressed but I have no idea how many had the folded over zeroxed original cover instead of the usual fold out poster one which came later.
The single also comes with: • An A4 sheet with pics of an impromptu gig in Capetown (it had been folded to put into the single sleeve and has little rip at the top LH corner but G-VG), • Two sheets of cut A4 with a couple of stuck on single reviews from the South African press and a "would be" press release sheet.
• An 8 page A5 fanzine of song words to the EP. In VG condition apart from a fold in the middle so it could fit into the single sleeve.
A genuine piece of great South African Punk history from 1981! Selling to finance a new computer.
