Description

Ritchie Valens In Concert at Pacoima Jr. High is a historic 1960 release on Del-Fi Records catalog DFLP 1214. This unique album serves as a poignant tribute to the rock and roll pioneer, released posthumously after his tragic death in 1959. Side one features a rare low-fidelity recording of a 1958 performance at his own junior high school, capturing the raw energy of a legend in the making. Side two provides a fascinating look into his creative process with several unfinished demos recorded shortly before his passing. The tracklist includes live renditions of his most iconic songs like La Bamba, Donna, and Come On, Let's Go. This copy is in Very Good Plus to Excellent condition, featuring the classic minimalist cover art. While the vinyl shows some very faint scratches on side two, they are cosmetic and do not affect playback. It remains an essential artifact for any collector of 1950s rock and roll history.
