Rites of Spring LP 1985 1st pressing MINT Dischord Emo

DESCRIPTION: This is a mint condition copy of the first pressing of the "Drink Deep" LP by Rites of Spring. Dischord Records, (Dischord No. 16), Washington, DC, 1985. Even though the band always hated the term, this is considered the first "Emo" record ever. Band members: Guy Picciotto, Eddie Janney, Mike Fellows and Brendan Candy. Various band members later played in One Last Wish, Happy Go Licky, and Fugazi.
CONDITION / PROVENANCE: Record itself is in mint condition, and has never, ever been played. The record has been kept in a plastic sleeve and away from light and dust for 27 years. This record is unconditionally guaranteed to be original, from 1985. It came from my (Jeff Nelson - Minor Threat/Dischord Records) punk archives, which are being downsized after continuing to be described variously as "too big" and "insane" or containing "more than my potential kids or grandkids will ever want."
