Description
Talk To Your Daughter (180g audiophile vinyl)
Ford, Robben
(2015/Muisic On Vinyl) 9 tracks.
On his 1988 solo album 'Talk To Your Daughter' presents singer / guitarist Robben Ford as a master of skillful blues / rock guitar playing. The material is strong and all the musicians are up to par, but it is the magnificent solo performance of Ford, which makes this album so special. Fans of rock virtuosos 80s should lead to heart here necessarily. The colorful, yet controlled improvisation and his harmonic skills are a rare treat. The title track has a deep, perfectly positioned guitar lines that come like a master class of up tempo blues.
Other highlights include "Born Under A Bad Sign 'by Albert King (in the Clint Eastwood film' Pink Cadillac 'appears) and' Is not Got Nothin But The Blues'.
The fine arrangements and brought to the point of drumming drum legend Vinnie Colaiuta meet on a crisp, clear production and make 'Talk To Your Daughter' a success. Also participating is a drummer Jeff Porcano of Toto.
