Linda Gail Lewis, gleefully lives up to its title. It’s Americana music that’s
as butt-shakin’ as Beale Street, deep-rooted as the Grand Ole Opry, and
hip as a trip to The Strip. Subversive as it is reverential, the album jumps the
genre tracks of nitty-gritty rock-and-roll, country-and-western, rockabilly,
jump swing, and gospel, landing in a strange slice of spacetime—call it
1954—when all these were One (and Linda was 7).
Robbie Fulks, the record’s producer, is “one of the most observant and wry
songwriters of the past two decades” (Rolling Stone). Ground-zero Louisiana-born
rocker Linda Gail Lewis is the younger sister and frequent performing
partner of Jerry Lee Lewis, whose piano innovations she carries forward.
Her present-at-the-creation cred buoys the record while Robbie—who sings,
plays, leads the band, writes most of the songs, and arranges the
others—provides an anchoring sensibility, one that savors old sounds but
sidesteps nostalgia. Recorded at Alex Hall's (JD McPherson,
Pokey LaFarge, Cactus Blossoms, etc...) Hi-Style studio, and features
Flat Five / NRBQ, etc members Scott Ligon & Casey McDonough on many
songs, as well as FF's Kelly Hogan, and Tele-whacker
Redd Volkaert on many others. Their two talents have fashioned
a record that’s urgent, honest, and fun.

LP PACKAGING
We package our LPs in a thick cardboard LP mailer.
We ALWAYS take the LP out of the jacket of 2nd hand items to
avoid any seam splitting that could occur in shipment.
We put the LP and the jacket in an LP plastic sleeve.
We do NOT open sealed LPs unless requested.
We cushion the LP in bubble wrap and use shipping tape
on all spines to protect the integrity of the box, and to
insure the safety of the contents. All this is included in
the low shipping price. We will clean your purchase on our
VPI machine if and when necessary. This insures that
you receive your item in the best possible condition.
LP SHIPPING
We offer the US Postal Service’s Media Mail and / or Priority
for shipping in the U.S. Buyer’s choice. The buyer pays the shipping,
packing (see above) and handling charges. Tracking is included
with both. We occasionally run domestic shipping specials.

Shipping to other countries is by the United States Postal
Service's First Class Mail International. Priority International
Is also available.
