Description
For sale is Robert Fripp's Exposure, originally released in 1979 by Polydor Records. In the dead wax between the label and the last track is etched "GP" followed by "1981 is the year of the Fripp" on side one and "The aim is Freedom Conscience and Truth" on side two. This indicates that the record was mastered by George Piros, known for his state-of-the-art engineering and superior sound quality sought after by collectors and music lovers around the world. I bought this record new, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and immediately put it away into a MFSL archival inner sleeve. This protects the integrity of the vinyl and any original inner sleeve(s) or insert(s) that may have come with the release. The inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as VG+ because of stress cracks along the spine, corner rubs, a hint of ring wear and a little color loss from what appears to be sticker residue on the lower left hand side of the front cover. The spine has color loss from these cracks and rubs. The vinyl is visually graded as Excellent with some sleeve marks, and play graded as Excellent because of occasional low level surface noise. It's been played only on Audiophile equipment since I've owned it and still has a lot of life yet. This would make a great addition to anyone's collection. This record has become very rare, especially as a George Piros first edition. This is the best copy of this album that I have ever seen or heard. You would be hard pressed to find another one like this one. I have a lot more Rock and Roll records as well as albums of all different genres listed in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're almost all Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing. I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
