Jack O' Roses is a solo acoustic album by Robert Hunter, best known as the primary lyricist for the Grateful Dead. Released in 1980 on the Dark Star label, this 12-inch LP captures Hunter's folk rock storytelling and poetic lyricism with an intimate, stripped-down sound. The album features a unique blend of narrative songs including "Box of Rain," "Friend of the Devil," and the multi-part suite "Terrapin," showcasing Hunter's deep connection to Americana and folk traditions.
