Description

This is one of the earliest compilations of the work of Robert Johnson released as part of the Classic Jazz Masters series it comes in a centre opening sleeve. There is no year referenced on the sleeve nor record label but the Record Collector Price Guide records it's release as 1962, which is pretty early predating the rise of the UK R&B revival scene. The vinyl is in Good/VG condition although the having given it a good listen it does play with some crackle (but no jumps that I noticed), but this doesn't detract too much from this style of textured blues The sleeve is in VG condition plus, the laminated cover is a little blistered to the left hand edge and there is a small sticker placed over the Philips logo on the rear otherwise the sleeve is in pretty good nick.
