Robert Parker - Barefootin' - Island ILP-942 - UK mono - 1966
A very clean copy of this early UK Island mono release. A New Orleans funk/r&b dancer with nods towards Memphis and Atlantic. My favourite is the pounding beat and smooth vocal on Ma Rainer's CC Rider, or See See Rider (see Lavern Baker, Chuck Willis). A influence for UK R&Bers, Zoot Money and Steve Winwood. Disc and disc in nice EXCELLENT condition.
Conditions: MINT/M- ; disc and sleeve in AS NEW condition. EX ; disc and sleeve has superficial wear only, still a stunning copy. VG+ ; minimal sign of wear, clean copy but shows sign of usage although it's been handled with great care from the start. VG ; as the grade say, it's a very good copy although vinyl has marks but still plays without any problems at all. G ; a good copy.. not a frisbee.. although surface noise/pop/crackle or marking may be notable, it is definetely a enjoyable record. not a deadbeat and not something that looks like a chicken had skated on.
