SPECIAL NOTES: This is a rare treat: a brand new wintage old store stock copy of the original RCA Red Seal Living Stereo release of Robert Russell Bennett conducting the RCA Victor Symphony in selections from Porgy and Bess and Leonard Bernstein's orchestral dance from West Side Story. Bennett was best known as the conductor of Richard Rodgers Victory At Sea, which was one of the best selling classic LPs of its day. And he rekindles the magic with this recording, which, like Victory at Sea, also features the NBC Symphony Orchestra. This is the first edition release of this LP that has a painted cover. This classic Living Stereo release is very hard to find in new and still-sealed condition, so don’t let this one slip past you!
This rare find is new old record store stock: a still sealed copy of an actual vintage record album; kind of like going back in time and finding this classic album new on a record store shelf!
The jacket may show the slightest signs of minor shelf wear, but this is guaranteed to be a new and original vintage pressing. If you're a collector of still sealed LPs, or simply the kind of record collector who appreciates the joy that comes in being the FIRST person to crack the shrinkwrap seal on a genuine decades-old collectible album, then this record is for you.
