Robert Wyatt – The End Of An Ear 1970 UK CBS Stereo First Press A1/B1 Jazz, Rock
The unlaminated printed silk finish card sleeve is conservatively graded as VG+. There is some rub wear along the bottom edge although this is not too excessive. The corners also show similar rub wear. The spine is pinched in two places, around 5cm from the top edge for some 2cm (this is also apparent on the rear) and at the bottom corner for another 2cm. Nevertheless the spine is clearly readable. The entry edge has a little wear but this is not significant. When viewed from a certain angle there is some faint ring wear. The original printed paper inner is undamaged but shows some age related discolouration. Graded as EX.
The vinyl without doubt grades as EX+ if not NM. It has clearly not been played to any great extent and the labels are clean and there are no spindle marks. On play grading today there was some very minimal static on the run in on both sides but nothing really substantial, maybe the odd pop or click during the remainder of the album including between the tracks - Certainly nothing which would spoil the enjoyment of the record when listening at high volume. It plays superbly with very strong audio. The surface is very clean, glossy and shiny, a great first press copy and rare in this condition!
