1922 sunshine 3001 vocal blues by roberta dudley and ory’s sunshine orchestra. printed On the label: “manuf. by spikes bros. phonograph co. In. los angeles” The Nordskog stock numbers, 3007 Is embossed in the shellac, and is different from the numbers printed on the Sunshine label “3001”. this Is one Of the Rare records with the various stories about how the  double labelling of The black and orange Sunshine label, with a glowing sunset behind a California mission, and the Nordskog label beneath it came about.

stored In climate controlled environment. plain sleeve. visual grading only, We have not played this record. the record appears black and still some glossiness remains, no visible scratches On either sides, but there is a dig seen In the playing area Of side b. Side a label Is very good with spindle wear; side b label Is frayed around the edges with minimal spindle wear.

this record Is listed In “jerry osborn’s rockin’ records 2014 edition” at a value Of $600-$800.

This item is part of an extensive collection and is offered for sale by the James Lyons Trust, Frank E. Bysfield Trustee. Jim was a serious record collector and spent years searching for them. He had an insatiable appetite for Traditional Jazz and could not stop buying. In his lifetime it is unknown as to how many Jim actually acquired, but the current inventoried record collection is at 22,361 records. Plus there is sheet music, reels, cylinders, cassettes and CD’s. In addition to the records he has a collection of nearly 3,000 books and publications, IAJRC Journal, Storyville Magazines, various memorabilia, show bills, concert programs, photos, and other ephemeras. Over 600 books with copyrights dated from 1867 – 1959.
