Artist: Robyn Raymond Hitchcock  - (born March 3, 1953) is an English singer-songwriter and psych folk guitarist who also plays harmonica, piano and bass guitar. He began his recording career in 1976 with the Cambridge-based punk/New Wave band The Soft Boys, a local group with an interest in the odd concept of 'psychedelic punk'. After the group broke up in 1981, Hitchcock began recording as a solo artist

Album: I Often Dream Of Trains – an all-acoustic album, the cathartic process of which he later likened to John Lennon's first solo work Plastic Ono Band.

The album was recorded in the space of a few days under the working title Crystal Branches (taken from a line in the song "Winter Love", not originally included in the track listing). Hitchcock plays acoustic and electric guitar and piano and delivers direct with occasional multi-tracked vocals.

Payment must be made within seven days of the end of the auction unless agreed and I am always happy to hold items for multi-buyers. UK bidders are welcome to pay by PayPal, personal cheque or postal order. Overseas bidders must pay by PayPal only. Non-EEC International Bidders please note you may be liable to local import duty.

Returns

I want you to be happy with your record and I try my best to be honest and accurate with my descriptions so all records are described in accordance with Record Collector’s Grading system as follows:

MINT – sealed or unplayed

NEAR MINT – in brand new condition with no marks or deterioration in sound quality

EXCELLENT – shows some signs of having been played with slight wear

VERY GOOD – sleeve may have wear and tear and the vinyl may have noticeable marks 

                           or light scratches but no major deterioration

However if you are not satisfied that the record is in the condition described, I will happily take it back and refund the cost of the item.

Postage Costs

I've provided a number of options, but if you want me to use another service such as second class postage in the UK, please let me know and I will include this on your final invoice. I am happy to combine postage wins over multiple auctions. Please let me know when you have finished bidding and I will send you an invoice combining postage – if you don’t, PayPal will just add the postage charges together!
International Buyers please note that postage quoted is via International Signed For which provides added security, tracking information and priority handling by Royal Mail. International Signed For only adds £3.50 to each parcel so if you are multi-buying it becomes more cost effective and Airsure, which is available to certain worldwide destinations and includes insurance up to £500.00, adds only £4.50 per parcel. (NB parcel weight limit for airmail is 2kg – so it may be necessary to dispatch in more than one package). I dispatch airmail (small packets) for destinations in Republic of Ireland only.

Delivery Times

I aim to post items within one working day of receiving payment – often on the same day payment is received - and pride myself on quick shipping. Occasionally I am let down by the Royal Mail however expected delivery times following posting should be as follows:

First Class / Special Delivery – one working day

Second Class – three working days

Airmail (Western Europe) – three working days

Airmail (Eastern Europe) – four working days

Airmail (Rest of the World) – five working days

Postal Insurance and Compensation

Most Royal Mail services have a maximum compensation level of £34 however if your successful winning bid is more than £34 (excluding delivery costs), I recommend you opt for Special Delivery for UK deliveries, which is insured up to £500, alternatively overseas buyers can pay an additional £2.00 for insurance up to £500. If you opt for a service that offers less compensation than you have paid for your item and it goes missing or gets damaged, it will be your loss!

I always obtain retain proof of postage so in the event of an item being lost or damaged, I will make the appropriate claim for compensation, and will reimburse you if the claim is successful. If the item is damaged, you may have to return it to me, which you will have to do at your own expense, so that I can make the claim and reimburse you if the claim is successful.
