Description
In May of 1956 a young man named Thumper Jones walked into Starday records and cut two records. He walked out the door and was never heard of again. Of coursethe rest of the story is that he changed his name and genre to Country/Western and used the name of George Jones on his future successful records. This is Starday 240 on 78 rpm with Thumper Jones. The record is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. The spots are reflections.
We are meticulous about the way we ship. We will place the 78 in a sleeve then sandwich it between 2 layers of cardboard on both the top and bottom. Then we will tape this securely horizontally and vertically. We will place in a record shipping box, place padding on the bottom, then the record which is by now very secure and then top with more padding. We will mark the box FRAGILE.
