Artist: The FOUR JETS (The Shadows)
Title: Jet Black / Driftin’
Label: CAPITOL ~ 4270. Labels are yellow promotional, with black text. “Promotional Debut Record.” Recorded in England.
Year: 1959
NOTE: This group ultimately became “The Shadows” with Cliff Richard. This song was recorded and issued while the group was struggling to find a name to replace their previous name The Drifters so as not to be confused with the American R&B group of the same name.
Condition: EXCELLENT with 100% of original brilliant gloss. Has been played a very small number of times, perhaps once or twice, and handled with care. A slight scuff (not audible), nothing more. Fidelity is superb.
Labels are immaculate with no writing, stickers, nor hint of wear or handling. You will be hard pressed to find a nicer copy of this scarce gem.
This comes with the original CAPITOL RECORDS factory sleeve in top condition.

PLANNING A VISIT TO THE BALTIMORE/WASHINGTON AREA?
If so, please consider a visit to my booth (Booth 002, down stairs) at the ANTIQUE DEPOT antique mall in historic ELLICOTT CITY, MARYLAND (3720 Maryland Avenue, just off Main Street at the north end of town – open every day of the year except Christmas and Thanksgiving) for some excellent bargain-priced LPs and 45’s.
