ROD STEWART - 'GASOLINE ALLEY'
This great sounding UK 1st pressing of Rod's acclaimed second solo album dates from initial September 1970 release and is on the 'swirl' Vertigo label: 6360 500
Matrix numbers: 6360500 1Y1 & 6360500 2Y1
Disc weight: 128g
Housed in a matt 'Howard's Printer' manufactured gatefold cover with a sealed opening edge of the front panel.
Complete with its original poly-lined inner-sleeve.

A clean & unworn pair with just a small collection of light spindle marks, mainly around the side 2 centre hole.
Visual: EXCELLENT +
Immaculate deep-gloss playing surfaces which are unmarked in strong daylight - free from any scratches or scuff marks of any kind. In fact, apart from a few barely visible wispy paper hairlines visible directly beneath my unforgiving halogen desk lamp, there is nothing to fault either side of this well looked-after disc.
Sound Quality: NEAR MINT
This barely played copy has received just a few careful plays on high-end equipment and plays flawlessly, with no deterioration to the sound quality anywhere. My single careful play-check at volume found the sound to be clean, clear and unworn throughout with no clicks, pops, ticks or any other such distractions throughout. You will not be disappointed with this wonderful sounding disc.
Cover: EXCELLENT
A highly respectable example of this easily worn cover which apart from some light handling wear has very little going against it. Both front & rear panels are unworn and there is just a hint of shelfwear to the lower corners, but no heavy bumps or bruising anywhere. The inside of the gatefold is pristine with no writing or missing paper anywhere. There is some toning to the spine, but all the wording is unworn and clearly readable. All seams are smooth, unstressed and unworn.
Inner-sleeve: EXCELLENT
Clean & flat with just a few gentle storage bends but writing, tears or seam splits.
