DESCRIPTION: Rod Stewart- Gasoline Alley LP. Early 1970s UK pressing with 1Y1/2Y1 matrix, small swirl label, non-textured gatefold sleeve and Vertigo swirl inner sleeve,

CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG/VG. Vinyl is clean with a nice dark sheen, close to VG+.  Played all of this tonight. Sits perfectly flat on turntable.  Plays close to EX generally . Music is clear, clean, vibrant and loud with an occasional tick, pretty much confined to side 1. Cover is in clean condition, a very strong VG. It has only light to moderate edge-wear, moderate corner-wear and light to moderate creasing. Clean inside to gatefold sleeve and decent shape retained to fully legible spine.   It has a name printed neatly to front top right hand corner and to one side of otherwise clean labels.  No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Swirl inner is in acceptable condition with a split to one edge and some teas around centre hole. Check out the photos.  
GRADING SYSTEM: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. 
I am just starting to sell off my very extensive record collection, built up over 40 years. I have hundreds of rarities in fantastic condition from many genres including blues, punk, metal, britpop, progressive, kraut, classic and hard rock.
