Description

An original 1st press of NADM on UK Mercury from 1972. Matrix 1/1. Correct Mercury labels for 1972. The vinyl comes housed in an original fold-out pocket cover . Will come housed in an high quality poly-lined inner sleeve for maximum protection.
Vinyl (Ex+) In lovely condition and has only seen light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a couple of very slight marks per side. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback. You can tell this is a 1972 1st press because the audio is so sweet. It has the lush presentation and incredible resolution you get from a copy made right after the masters have been produced. If audio is of the utmost importance to you - THIS would be the copy to go for. Super audio quality - hardly a whiff of background at all. I mean totally clean into ALL areas. Just a couple of isolated crackles in a couple of spots per side. And there are plenty of low-key moments. Clean as a whistle. Super impressive.
Cover (Ex) Let me just qualify this grading. A true Ex on this title will be very difficult to find. And there are a couple of reasons for that. This is a textured cover but it is 'unlaminated'. Which means 90% of copies will either have aged, a lot of surface wear, or creasing. But take a close look at those photos. This example is in ridiculous condition. It doesn't suffer any of these ailments. Front and rear are impeccable. It's even smooth to the touch which means it has been kept away from damp its entire life. The interior images are all perfect. Worth noting this cover design has TWO opening panels. They would be incredibly susceptible to damage. But on this example both panels are really well preserved - with great rigidity. Just one tiny crease on one corner of rear panel. Edge wear is very very slight for this title. Both spines are 100% intact. ALL text perfectly legible without wear. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. Superb!
