Hello record collectors and vinyl junkies, I'm in the process of selling off the majority of my record collection to finance the ongoing restoration of a classic car...hopefully without going bankrupt! So please check back often, as I'll be listing hundreds of LPs over the next few months.

I'll be listing a few singles this week by "song poem" master Rodd Keith aka Rod Rogers. 

This 7" record by Rod Rogers and his Singing Strings Mr. Whiskers b/w It's Christmas Again was released by Hartco Records sometime between the late 1960's and early 1970s. (TH-005/6)

If you're not familiar with Rodd Keith or Song Poems, you might remember advertisement in the back of magazines offering to turn your poem or lyrics into a professional record for a fee, The aspiring songwriter would send in lyrics along with a payment and the company would quickly have a singer record your song and send you a few copies along with the promise to market the song and hopefully it would become a hit. Thousands responded to the ads but not one ever became a hit maker. Rodd Keith was the musician/vocalist who was responsible hundreds of these records. It is a fascinating story...google his name for more information.

The record has several scuffs and scratches that cause some surface noise when played.

Due to overwhelming requests, I generally ship domestic packages by Media Mail. However, please keep in mind that while Media Mail is the cheapest shipping method, it is also the slowest. Media Mail can take several weeks or MORE to arrive. Media Mail shipping within the United States is $4.00 including mandatory Delivery Confirmation.

I do combine shipping for multiple purchases. Please wait for an invoice from me as the Paypal system does not calculate the combined shipping.

Overseas shipping is by Air Mail only. Shipping for one single to Canada is $10.00 and everywhere else in the world is $14.00. Overseas shipping is by regular air mail and can take anywhere from one to four weeks to arrive. I do combine shipping on overseas purchases - I will send an invoice with the combined shipping cost if you purchase more than one record.

Sorry I no longer ship to Italy or the Russian Federation due to the high number of "lost" packages.
