Description
Roger Bunn's only solo album recorded in 1970 in Holland is both rare and mysterious! Who was Roger Bunn (he died in 2005)? According to one source he was "Part artist, philosopher, madman, idealist, self-taught musicologist, grassroots leftist activist, master guitarist and kick-ass bass player". (The only other record I know he played on was Pete Brown's '...Art School Dance...'). What's the record like? Apparently, "stream-of-consciousness words with jazz rhythms and acid-psych, punctuated by the occasional James Brown horns" and acoustic guitar and some flute and strings. How the hell did it end up on Ohr with Embryo, Limbus 4 and Tangerine Dream? Nobody knows, but there is a bit of a primitive Krautrock vibe about some of it, although it sounds more like something from 1968 San Francisco to me! About as uncommercial as you can get.
Condition: the gatefold cover has some light creasing, mainly in the corners, but nothing that has broken the laminate. No 'cut corner' or hole (unlike most copies on sale). The vinyl has no real visible defects and plays fine with only light surface noise on the run-in and about five quiet clicks toward the end of side 2.
