THE MOST IMPORTANT LP I HAVE LISTED SINCE I STARTED MY LITTLE VENTURE!!! Please read the notes and look closely at the pictures.
Artist: Roger Waters
Title: BBC Rock Hour Transcrition Disc.
Cat no: bc 529
Record condition: The vinyl is VG+ condition. I am playing it right now, and although there are a few surface marks, it has nothing that troubles the play. You can hear crackles in quieter moments, but that is true of nearly all transcription discs of this era
Sleeve condition: The sleeve is fair. It has been water damaged and is generic card, but quite tough.
Label condition: Excellent
Notes: A very rare BBC Rock Hour transcrition disc for the Coors Rock Hour radio show which was broadcast in California on July 15th 1984. BBC Rock Hour is a sub label of London Wavelength, an American radio syndicated record label. These records were only for radio stations for broadcast purposes and not for sale to the general public.
This one features the songs from the Pros and Cons of Hitchiking and an interview with Roger Waters, and boy.......Is he talking openly and candidly. Especially about the inevitability of the split and he talks candidly about how 'Pros and Cons' got shelved in favour of The Wall and how that affected the band dynamic. He talks at length about plenty more, but I will let you discover it in all its beauty. Trust me, it is probably the best Roger Waters interview you are likely to own. Shame about the sleeve!
Please bear in mind, sometimes there are a few of these discs out there and sometimes there can be only the one! I have not yet found a way to tell how many exist. If you have any ideas, I would love to know.
I will start this incredible piece of history at 99p and let you enjoy the ride!
I have been a lover of music and collector of vinyl all my life. For health reasons, I am having to give up my job, so I am now hoping to turn my hobby into a small business. I will be selling all sorts of records and collectibles from the last 7 decades. I will always do my very best to describe each item honestly and to include as many pictures as I can. Please look at all the pictures, as I use very high-resolution kit so you can zoom right in on them. I will also go into as much detail as time allows so that you can understand exactly what you are bidding on. However, if you are unhappy with your purchase in any way, I offer a full refund upon return of the item. (excludes ‘job-lots’).
I will always protect my records properly for posting and insist upon tracked and signed parcels outside of the UK, unless by prior agreement, as this helps reassure both of us. I will always combine multiple wins to keep postage as reasonable as possible.
As well as the buying and selling of music and memorabilia, I offer lots of other services. Collections purchased. Comprehensive valuation service for single records or entire collections. Probate and disposal. Storage help and products. Cleaning service. Record protection. Rare vinyl finding service. Bespoke themed packs of 7”s or LP’s for 60s, 70s, 80s parties. Please email me for more details.
