Roland Alexander on New Jazz 8267

 

This is the original deep-groove RVG-stamped pressing of Roland Alexander “Pleasure Bent” on the purple and silver labels of New Jazz NJLP 8267.  The playing surface is in near-new condition, with a high luster; perhaps played once.; Side A label is faded.  The matte cover is bright and clean throughout; 1 ½” crease at the top left corner; 2” crease and ding at the top right corner; the back slick has small writing at the top left and “Preview Copy” stamped on the left edge.  Personnel include Marcus Belgrave, Ronnie Mathews, and Gene Taylor.
