Description

This is a great starter unit if you are interested in getting into home recording. It's also great for a song writer looking to record some ideas to develop later or take back to a band to learn. The Roland VS840GX is a self contained 8 track digital recorder. This recorder has been modified with a 750 MB ZIP drive giving you 3 times the recording time of the orginal drive (see the note below). Each of the 8 tracks has 8 virtual tracks giving you a whopping total of 64 tracks to work with. Along with the tracks there are a multitude of on board effects including Mic Modeling, Amp Modeling, Reverb, Chorus, Delays and many more. The units EZ routing feature will have you up and running in less than 30 minutes. The unit is very easy to use. The unit has a built in Metronome and Guitar tuner. It also has a HiZ input allowing a guitarist to plug his guitar directly into the unit. You can record with up to four (4) mics at a time through four independent inputs. This unit ships in the orginal box with all the manuals including the Users Manual, Quick start manual, Basics of digital recording, VS840 Preset Guide, and a VS840 MIDI synchronization guide. I have also included some helpful hits printed off the net that a new user will find helpful. The Roland demo disk and Jam Tracks disk is also included. Also included are twelve (12) 250MB ZIP disks and three (3) 750MB zip disks. These are worth over $120 new today. The unit is in pristine condition. It has only been used indoors, in a smoke free environment and away from food and drinks. When you take it out of the box you will basically be looking at a unit in the same condition that it was in when it was originally purchased (with the exception of the drive modification mentioned earlier). Note: The orginal 250 MB zip drive that came with the unit will be shipped along with the unit - both drives are in working condition. Only shipping within the US and only accepting Paypal.
