Description
This has to be one of the top all time rock-n-roll classics. Written and recorded by Chuck Berry in 1956 with many cover versions including The Beatles and Rolling Stones. Surprisingly the original was not a hit in the U.K. A generation later in 1973 , ELO took it into the U.K. charts with an excellent arrangement of this song.
This 78 is a U.K. release as can be seen from photos. London label HLU 8428 Side A - Roll over Beethoven. Side B - Drifting heart. For its age it is in great condition. The usual scuffs and light scratches however this plays really well with no skips or clicks. See video recording. I would grade this as VG+
Due to lack of sales and damage,there cannot be many copies around, especially in this condition. As it approaches 70 years since release this surely will be a sort after copy. Do not miss out!
Low starting price. I am familiar with posting 78 rpm and wil ensure it arrives undamaged, Not the cheapest option however this is a very fragile item Protected in cardboard sleeve as per photo.
