Description

You are bidding on six 16-inch network radio transcription discs of three complete 30 minute shows (parts 1 and 2 equal six discs) of the live sports program ROLLER DERBY as broadcast over ABC on November 28, 1949; January 2, 1950, and March 3, 1951.  Joe Hassel and Ken Nadell provide play-by-play.  During these live broadcasts sponsored by ABC, roller derby stars are briefly interviewed.  The typed ABC disc labels are readable but have faded over time (see best of the pics), and some have numbers written on them, but the discs are in excellent condition with superb audio. These recordings are from the estate collection of a former radio and television sports producer and announcer who worked for the ABC network for over 25 years.
