Description
The Rolling Stones "Aftermath" (MONO) London LL 3476
This is the 1966 US pressing with bright red labels, on which the London logo appears "boxed".
This is the prized and sonically superior MONO pressing, not the dreadful sounding "rechanneled stereo" version. The bass sound is particularly impressive, solid and deep.
The wax here is in superb condition, near mint.
The first half dozen or so Stones' LP's AS MONO PRESSINGS are among my all time favorite albums. I love this record! I have multiple copies. I am letting this US pressing go as I have another on the shelf. ;-)
Side One matrix #s: LL3476A (hand etched) and ARL--7259-1C (stamped) in the dead wax area.
Side Two matrix #s: LL3476B (hand etched) and ARL--7260-1E (stamped) in the dead wax area.
Vinyl: NM
The wax looks and plays just a wee bit shy of "like new", with only a very few superficial surface marks present and only traces of surface noise (background "crackle") audible between tracks, characteristic of wax of the era. The sound quality here is wonderful. Exceptional high gloss on this record, now some 50 years old !!! And what a listen !!! Surely one of the most iconic and enjoyable recordings in rock 'n' roll history.
Labels are bright and clean. Light spindle marks visible under bright light.

Jacket: VG
Jacket front shows some ring wear and traces of other rub wear.
Jacket back B&W photos and text are clear. Modest ring wear present on jacket back.
Top and bottom seams and spine show modest rub wear ... but no splits.
Spine print is clearly legible.

This is a superb copy of the Stones' classic "Aftermath" LP, in glorious MONO, as it was recorded and meant to be heard. The wax is near mint. You will be very "hard pressed" to find a copy of this pressing (unsealed) whose wax is in better condition.
A wonderful piece of rock history and a great listen, now some 50 years old !!! Hoping this one goes to a good home.
Note: I have nearly all the early Stones LP's in mono. I plan to list more in days to come.

Music is my passion. I’ve been a collector for more than 50 years and have thousands of records in my personal collection, focused largely on 50’s and 60’s rock ‘n’ roll. Recently retired, I look to downsize and sell select portions of my collection in hopes of financing future purchases of a few special pieces.
All records I offer are from my personal collection, each cleaned using my Nitty Gritty Record Cleaning Machine.
All are play graded (not just visually graded), employing Goldmine Price Guide standards.
As I take great care to accurately describe my items, I do not accept returns unless my item description is incorrect.
All records are packaged with the wax outside the jacket (to avoid seam split in transit), enclosed in a plastic sleeve and shipped in robust record mailer boxes via USPS Media Mail, tracking included.
International customers pay shipping costs and duties per the eBay Global Shipping Program guidelines.
Payment expected within 3 business days of auction closing.
