Description

The Rolling Stones - Aftermath, Decca mono 1966 release (cat no LK 4786) with the legendary and extremely rare (especially in the exceptionally nice condition), ''shadow'' sleeve. I shall start with the cover, as this is the important & valuable part of the item. The sleeve remains in excellent minus condition with no rips or tears and a fully readable spine. The sleeve exhibits just a touch of ring wear and the non-laminated back is a little grubby in places. There is no laminate lifting present to the front of the cover (just a little area of slight bubbling to its lower right hand corner). There is some degree of creasing to all corners of the sleeve. I have tried my best to illustrate all faults with the photographs above.
The vinyl does have a slight warp evident but still tracks fine on my system, it has a nice sheen and in the most plays with just the slightest of background noise except for tracks 3 & 4 on side B where there are 2 short sections of ''popping'' - I have looked closely but have been unable to identify the cause. The matrix numbers are: XARL-7209-1B/XARL-7210-4A. Both labels remain in excellent condition with just minor spindle marks but label A does have the owner's name neatly written in ink.
