THE ROLLING STONES - 'AFTERMATH'
UK 1966 1st PRESS *MONO* PRESSING LP
This extremely rare variant features the withdrawn sleeve design which has purple shadowing around the lettering on the front panel.
The disc itself is a 1966 UK 1st mono pressing on the unboxed red Decca label: LK 4786
Housed in the aforementioned cover variant printed by 'Robert Stace' with the purple shadowing on the 'Aftermath' lettering.
Complete with it original poly-lined inner-sleeve.
Matrix numbers: XARL-7209-1B & XARL-7210-4A
Stamper codes: 1/IG & 1/UH
Disc weight: 141g
CONDITION
Labels: VERY GOOD
Clean & bright with some minor hole wear and spindle marks but no major faults.
Visual: GOOD
Both playing surfaces are clean & glossy but have numerous light scratches and hairlines consistent with frequent handling & play.
Play: VERY GOOD -
This copy has clearly been played many times and slight wear is audible on some peaks together with an occasional light click. However, there are no jumps, repeats or any other such major faults.
Cover
VERY GOOD -
Extremely difficult to find in any condition, this example has general handling & storagewear but no serious faults. The front panel is clean with a number of light wrinkles to the laminate and a sightly heavier crease towards the lower right corner which has lifted the laminate. There is light wear to the corners & opening edges but no tears anywhere. The rear panel has some dirt from handling & storage but is free form any writing or missing paper. Both seams and the spine are all unstressed and sunsplit.
Inner-sleeve
VERY GOOD
General age/storagewear but no major faults and easily replaced.
- Strict & grading under strong daylight & directly beneath a halogen desk lamp to UK 'RECORD COLLECTOR' standards.
- I carefully play every record I sell on an EMT 950 turntable at volume and list all visual and audible faults.
- All the photos in this listing have been taken by myself and are of the actual items for sale.
- All records are professionally & securely in custom-made record mailing boxes with the disc removed from the cover.
