In the 1960s, LPs of popular UK artists such as the Beatles and Rolling Stones were pressed in Australia (and other Commonwealth countries) using UK metal parts. During this time, Australia had less than 25% of the population of the United Kingdom. As a result, Australian LP pressings of these popular artists using UK metal parts were made in much smaller quantities, making surviving examples that much harder to find in collectible condition.
CONDITION
DISC: This impossibly rare Australian 1st press MONO LP is visually in NEAR MINT-/EXCELLENT+ condition. Both sides show full gloss and very few hairlines. Both Decca labels show only a few spindle trails.

COVER: The gatefold cover is in EXCELLENT+/EXCELLENT condition. Unlike the UK Decca cover, the Australian cover is not laminated on the outside. Slight wear exists around the edges, but the cardboard is still very presentable, and the spine is intact and fully readable. Please note: The cover on the reverse side indicates "STEREO," but the spine includes the catalogue number for the MONO version: LKA 4955 (see photo).

GRADING INFORMATION
- I grade conservatively. MINT is a sealed LP; NEAR MINT is an open LP/cover
with virtually no signs of use/wear; EXCELLENT is a well-looked-after LP/cover
with light signs of use/wear; VERY GOOD+ is an LP/cover with average signs of
use/wear but is not trashed. - I use unforgiving sunlight and incandescent light to visually grade each LP.
- I don’t make unverifiable claims as to how many plays a non-sealed LP has had.
