Description
In 1968 the Rolling Stones (British Rock and Roll Band) released a new studio album titled Beggars Banquet on London Records. The original album cover art selected by the band featured photos by Barry Feinstein of a rather dingy looking graffiti covered bathroom wall of what looked like a public toilet. The Arbiters of Good Taste (as if the Rolling Stones ever had "Good Taste") at the record company said it was obscene, and in bad taste and refused to release the album with that cover which held up the release of the record for months. The Stones finally pulled the original cover bathroom art and released a plain white cover with the Band name and Record Title only. This is the original unused banned cover art for Beggars Banquet offered as a rolled poster, 12.25 x 24.75, which was made available at a later date, to be ordered discreetly through the mail. In more recent years, they have issued new releases of this album with this original intended cover art. This poster was the first release of this unseen banned cover. There is no vinyl record or sleeve or cardboard record album cover included with this - just the paper poster of the original art.
